2016 RWECO jointly trained FPAs/TOTs for Kasese
and Kamwenge10 FPAs from KALI were trained. The trained FPAs came to train
their CBOs members in Conflict mapping, causes of conflicts using conflict
tools and its prevention among their CBOs, individuals and communities. This
activity therefore looked at facilitating the trained FPAs to train their CBOs
members in consensus Building, human rights promotion and protection. The CBOs
member’s training's were organized at each CBOs meeting area. 10 CBOs were
trained. this activity brought a total of 10
CBOs with 297 (F=192, M=105) from the sub counties of
Ntara,Kahunge,Busiriba,Nyabbani and Nkoma were trained. each group has 30 members.
The
training aimed at increasing the capacity of 10 groups that are vulnerable to
violence to influence review of policies that perpetuate conflicts and human
rights abuse in their communities. Trigger the trained youth & women to interface with
leaders to prevent and manage conflicts and defend human rights

members identified absence of periodic sub county platforms to effectively
engage local leaders on conflict prevention & human rights violation issues
in their areas.

- Make House to house visits on conflict prevention & peace building
- For women groups, Compose songs for MDD & present them in churches/trading centers to promote peaceful co-existence in communities.
- Organize sports for peace among the youth in and out of schools.
- Visit other CBOs and groups to promote massage on conflict prevention in their localities
- FPA & CBO leaders Communicate massage of Peaceful co-existence in public functions when ever its applicable.
